Surveying Solutions, Inc. is a privately owned professional surveying firm, licensed in the State of Michigan. SSI is a multi-disciplinary firm specializing in a wide range of surveying, engineering, and construction services and pre qualified with Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) to perform design surveys and construction services. SSI provides professional services to a wide range of clientele, with an emphasis in Transportation, Mobile Mapping (MoLi), Surveying and Mapping, and construction testing services. We are a full service surveying company providing services to governmental, residential, municipal and private development clients as well as other design professionals.
SSI has many survey field crews and concrete testing crews going full time and we are planning on more. These crews have experience varying from technicians to retired MDOT employees with over 100 years of combined MDOT experience. SSI currently has 5 licensed professional surveyors on staff, with 3 of the professional surveyors being on the project management team. SSI field crews are equipped with state-of-the-art Leica surveying equipment. SSI also utilizes a Mobile Lidar (MoLi pronounced "molly") unit. MoLi is a great complement to SSI's equipment repertoire and for the work SSI performs for its clientele. SSI currently owns multiple Leica GPS receivers (including Viva's and ATX1230's), digital levels, numerous total stations and automatic levels, etc. According to Leica, the only entity in Michigan that owns more GPS receivers than SSI is MDOT itself. The combination of being one of the largest surveying firms in Michigan, being pre qualified with excellent scores in every surveying category, and having an excellent reputation with MDOT makes SSI a major asset to any project team. SSI's experience with large scale projects has allowed them to establish a work flow and system that always leads to successful projects.
SSI is pre qualified in the following survey categories for the State of Michigan: Construction Layout, Hydraulic Surveys, Road Design Surveys, Structural Surveys, Photogrammetric Control Surveys, Right-of-Way Surveys, Geodetic Control and Leveling, and Concrete Inspection and Testing.
